Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – More highly anticipated by many than the winners are what the guests wore. And this year’s 2012 Golden Globes red carpet did not disappoint.
The year’s first awards show and fashion fest featured fabulous women looking glamorous, graceful and all glitzed up.
Among repeat standouts were Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, and Kate Beckinsale. The trio looked stylish in simple and subtle cuts. Angelina sizzled in satin. Nicole dazzled in a body-hugging Versace gown, and Kate looked stunning in a strapless cream gown, hair pulled back and dark eye makeup.
Turning heads was Charlize Theron in a flowing down by Dior and a vintage Cartier headband, while Sofia Vergara, who always knows how to play up her curves, looked fantastic in a strapless mermaid silhouette by Vera Wang. And Jessica Biel looked heavenly in white.
Madonna wore a tight low neckline dress that looked uncomfortable. Salma Hayek looked squeezed into her strapless Gucci gown.
George Clooney’s date, Stacey Keebler, looked radiant in red.
Best actress Meryl Streep didn’t win any awards for her full length gown by Alessandra Rich.
Looking stylish and a bit subdued was the beautiful Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein, and Emma Stone looked lovely in a two-tone Lanvin gown.
