FRANKFORT, KY – On Friday the 13th of November, the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University had the misfortune of losing the 23rd Annual Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament, falling to the Golden Rams of Albany State University, top seed in the SIAC’s Eastern division.

WNBA Atlanta Dream wins new basketball court for YMCA PDF Print E-mail

The WNBA and Spalding announced that the Atlanta Dream has won the 2008 Home Court Challenge, earning a brand-new Spalding basketball court for the Butler Street YMCA.  Several Dream players and coaches will be on hand to unveil the extraordinary court on June 2. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the players will have a question-and-answer session, conduct a clinic, and sign autographs for more than 50 kids.

Scoring a season high of 27 points against the Detroit Pistons, Mike Bibby rained on Phillips Arena giving the Atlanta Hawks another win underneath their wings with a final score of 85-78.

Atlanta Hawks Down Golden State Warriors 115-99

The Hawks had their fans on the edge of their seats the entire game with Marvin Williams 22 points, Josh Smith 14 points, Al Horford 14 points who is in his second season, Joe Johnson 18 points and Flip Murray whom did not start but scored 20 points off the bench.
