Atlanta, GA -- The Dream continues to suffer from a winless season so far, with more and more apparent frustration with calls from the Officials according to fans.
From the point of view of fans court side, she fell; from the point of view in the media seating, she fell; from the point of view of section 107 row C, she fell; but the official call is a foul on number 22 Betty Lennox. Even with 28 points, more points than any single player on either team, Lennox could not get the Dream over to the Win column. The Atlanta Dream played hard, and displayed excellent mechanics with game execution just after the second half started, but the new York Liberty proved to be a machine to reckon with.
Ironically only scoring 12 and 14 points respectively, dubbed by this staff as the New York Liberty's "Wonder Twins"; Essence Carson (#17) and Shameka Christon (#20) proved that they must be guarded at all times. The leader for New York was Janel McCarville (#4) with 25 points to seal the deal against the Dream.
Final score, 81 -77 - New York. The Dream will take on the Indiana Fever in Atlanta on June 13, 2003 at 7:30 pm in Philips Arena.
