Atlanta, GA – The Atlanta Dream kept it close for three of four periods and held a decent lead at first, but the Indiana Fever eventually took command and kept it.

Tamera Young

Tamera Young (#23) and Ivory Latta (#12) both led with 14 points each. The game was very exciting with fanfare throughout the arena and during the game. The fans were as much a part of the team as the players were. Tamara Young played impressively with high energy defense and outstanding play throughout; a force that was unstoppable as she literally confused the Indiana Fever.

There is still some work to be done, with many baskets being missed; the Dream could have possibly won this, as about 7 shots were missed that should have been easy points made. In the first half, Katie Feenstra (#44) missed a couple of lay ups and Ivory Latta missed the entire basket in an adrenaline filled power shot; she was clearly frustrated with the miss.

Indiana proves to be a serious stealer of balls on the court, almost like magic Indiana swept the ball from Atlanta in some serious defensive maneuvers; even impressing some fans court side. The Dream also demonstrated their title of kleptomaniac as well by taking balls from the Fever, except The Dream had plenty motivation, contrary to the classical definition.

The game also featured serious physical activity as Atlanta Dream’s Jennifer Lacy (#21) took a smashing tackle under the goal line, Ivory Latta and Betty Lennox (#22) kept the Fever’s players at bay with beautifully executed blocking and offense.

Final Score: Indiana 76, Dream 67.

Post Game Note: Atlanta Dream makes the Dream of Girl Scouts Come True!
The Atlanta Dream hosted a Girl Scouts question and answer session, and quite honestly; many of the questions from the Girl Scouts rivaled questions asked by the media. Girl Scouts asked many questions from favorite city to favorite sports, and even dared to inquire about salaries – perhaps some future WNBA players out there. The Post Game activities were enjoyable and the Dream even gave autographs to eager Girl Scouts and their Troop Leaders.
