Atlanta Hawks Down Golden State Warriors 115-99

The Hawks had their fans on the edge of their seats the entire game with Marvin Williams 22 points, Josh Smith 14 points, Al Horford 14 points who is in his second season, Joe Johnson 18 points and Flip Murray whom did not start but scored 20 points off the bench.

Although off with a great first quarter, the second quarter proved to be a rocky road with Williams not starting after he scored 10 points in the first, and Golden State pulling off with a 13-2 run midway through the second causing half time to be close at 52-54, the Warriors way.

Late in the third Coach Woodson subbed Flip Murray in for Mike Bibby. This substitution brought intensity to the court. Murray scored 6 within 2:38 seconds and 14 points in the fourth quarter.

The Warrior’s loss tonight makes it’s their fifth straight loss overall and 3-13 on the road.

The Atlanta Hawks face the Detroit Pistons on December 21, 2008 at 2:00pm at home in Phillips Arena.
