It was reported Monday that a TikTok star with more than a million followers pleaded not guilty to shooting and killing his newly estranged wife and the man she was with last week at a high-rise in San Diego.
The Union-Tribune reported that Ali Abulaban had secretly installed a listening device on his daughter’s tablet device and that when he heard his wife talking to another man he went to their apartment and shot them to death.
According to the newspaper, these details were revealed during the arraignment of Abulaban in the San Diego County Superior Court. Abulaban pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder as well as special circumstances alleging multiple killings.
Taren Brast, Deputy District Attorney, stated that Abulaban picked up his daughter from school after the shootings.
Brest stated outside court that Abulaban, 29, is a TikTok star known as JinnKid, who has more than 940,000 followers. The account includes comedy skits and impersonations of the character Tony Montana from the 1983 film Scarface.
