The Tulsa Race Massacre is one of the most horrific and brutal massacres in American history. On May 31, 1921, a white mob set fire to the courthouse square in order to quell black home and business owners who had attempted to defend themselves from constant threats by whites. The event lasted for hours, leaving over 300 people dead. This massacre was a tragedy that should never be forgotten.

Now, on the 100 year anniversary, we remember those who lost their lives and all that they have endured because of this horrific event.

We continue solemn reflection in order to honor these individuals and should never forget what happened.
